Registered with the DSD since 1999, Bumble Bee has grown from a handful of children meeting in a local home, to a thriving school in a purpose-built facility able to accommodate about 50 children daily.

We cater for children from 18 months and our half-day play school programme concludes with Grade 00, for five-year-olds. We also offer a number of extra-curricular options and an after care facility.

Bumble Bee has a Christian ethos, is independently owned and has a highly-educated professional staff team supported by experienced assistants. A typical day includes free play, art, a discussion ring, music and gross motor activities.

Feel free to pop in and visit us any week day between 08:00 and 16:30.

The maximum amount of children in this class is 16. At this stage in a child’s development the most important lesson for them to learn is how to interact with others. A lot of emphasis in the classroom is placed on social interaction and language development. A typical day in the life of a Honey Bee would include free play, a discussion ring, music and dance, art and gross motor activities. Our programme is theme based and exposes the children to a variety of topics allowing them opportunity to interact with the community in the form visits from the policeman, the fireman, chefs and many more.

Your child does not have to be potty trained to start in the Honey Bees class. We are also very happy to assist with the process when your little one is ready.

The after care takes place from 13:30-16:30 on a Monday-Thursday. It is an additional R75 a day. The after care includes an extended educational programme which focuses on literacy, numeracy and life skills.

The school offers ballet lessons and Monkeynastics as optional extra-curricular activities.
