Little Leaps is a separate unit but part of Little Village Christian Nursery School, an established mainstream Nursery School in Centurion, this providing for ample inclusion opportunities.
Little Leaps caters to the specific needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD) and other communication disorders. There is currently two classes with 7 children in each and 5 members of staff.
All the learners have a combination of impairments to their language, social skills and thought processes which places them on the “autistic continuum” i.e. their individual strengths and difficulties vary according to the severity of their autism and associated learning difficulties.
