Description

Crab Apple is the passion of Helen and Barend Booysen from the Dargle Valley, KwaZulu Natal South Africa. Set in this idyllic area, up a dusty and steep country road, deep in the Dargle Valley in the midlands, is the large Crab Apple Chapel. Covered in ivy, it is a picture perfect country chapel. It was originally a community chapel that became an icon in the area and has now grown into a popular wedding chapel. Helen and Barend's passion for horses lead them to take up carriage driving. Shortly after they were requested to drive their marathon carriage at weddings and Crab Apple Carriage has grown from there. Crab Apple's philosophy is to stay close to nature and be of service to the community. Crab Apple sees it's work as an extension of Christ's work. It hopes to energise the community chapel and bring back the old tradition of carriage to the country.

On the edge of the tranquil conservancy are the three AA Highly Recommended Crab Apple Cottages. Each of these self-catering cottages has a different character while all being furnished with every comfort. Relax and enjoy the sense of serenity that the Dargle Valley brings.
