Our beautiful old Victorian farm buildings are surrounded by gardens, vineyards, olive groves and mountain fynbos. Should you want simply to relax, comfortable accommodation, large verandas, a library and a swimming pool under the mountain, provide all you would want near at hand. For those wanting to walk, hike or mountain bike, there are vineyard rambles and mountain walks and rides with spectacular views, fauna and flora. For children there is a petting farm, a children’s library, safe gardens to play in, table tennis and other games to enjoy.
Fynbos Estate is ideal not only for getaways for family and groups of friends, but a pavilion under the mountain creates a magical setting for parties, weddings and other events. As such children are more than welcome and there is a children’s menu which reflects Johan’s belief that children should eat delicious as well as nutritious food.
With wine made on the spot and farm grown/sourced country food cooked with love and passion, the grownups get to enjoy themselves just as much as the children. During harvest child friendly Winemaking Getaways are on offer for groups of friends, and wine tastings are always available.
For residential stays, the Farm House accommodates up to 16 sharing, Fynbos House 12 and Fynbos Cottage 4. Accommodation can be self-catered. part-catered or fully catered.
For day events, we can host up to 80 guests in the Pavilion. Satellite television and Wi Fi facilities are available in the farm house.
Locations
An hour’s drive up the west coast from Cape Town, in the Paardeberg mountain, just outside the town of Malmesbury.
