Situated in the heart of the Garden Route, you will find a beautiful piece of land that will stir your senses. Set on 11,000-hectares, Gondwana Game Reserve holds the distinction of being the only Fynbos reserve in the world with free roaming Big Five game as well as endangered species like the Cape Mountain Zebra, Black Rhinoceros, and Black Harrier among many others. Its breathtaking beauty will sooth and delight you with its endless mountain views and green rolling hills blanketed in colourful fynbos.
The reserve is accessibly situated 25 minutes outside the charming coastal town of Mossel Bay and a mere 4 hours drive from Cape Town. It shares the areas’ idyllic climate, second most moderate in the world, and is Malaria-free, offering prime year round game viewing.
Fynbos Camp:
Privately situated a short drive from the main Fynbos Camp lodge, each villa is divided into a superior double room and deluxe suite or can be rented as an entire villa sleeping up to 6. All accommodation is elegantly appointed in Afro-chic style with spectacular views of the Outeniqua mountains from your bed or outdoor deck.
Kwena Huts:
The new Kwena Huts are a modern and luxurious twist on the traditional Khoi-San dwelling. Kwena Camp facilities include a large pool, a chic open-plan lounge and bar, with food and beverage services offered in an elegant and intimate dining room set around open fireplaces, the outdoor boma, or private in room dining. Guests are treated to surprise bush breakfasts, romantic picnics, evening barbecues and scenic sundowner spots.
The Khoi San inspired lodge offers luxuriously appointed private suites overlooking two waterholes across the valley onto the mountains which once formed part of the famous landmass known as Gondwanaland. The facilities include a main lodge with interlinked dining, lounge, and reception including spa, bar, curio and outdoor pool area and intimate outdoor dining spots.

Enjoy your own luxurious bush home on a private Big 5 game reserve with ample space to take in your natural surroundings. The elegant villas are for the exclusive use of guests who enjoy the comfort and ease of the open-plan design with spacious outdoor areas.
The villas have either two, three or four en-suite bedrooms and are ideal for a relaxing stay in the lap of luxury. All homes are fenced within a safe area for freedom of movement, inhabited with plains game. The rate includes daily housekeeping and the house comes fully stocked with necessary cooking equipment and other amenities. Nearby, 5 star Lehele Lodge is available for gourmet meals, rugby games at the bar, library with computers and internet connection and expansive outdoor areas including infinity pool. Game Drives can be booked with Gondwana´s expert field guides in open Land rovers or come inclusive in your daily rate. Walking area available for hiking, fishing, mountain biking and horse riding.
Gondwana´s private bush villas are ideal for families and groups of friends who want longer stays and the flexibility to enjoy the surrounding Garden Route and its top golf courses and beaches using Gondwana as a base. For the ultimate in luxury, the villas can be rented fully services with your own private field guide and game viewer, a chef and a butler to cater for your every need. The Private Bush Villas can be rented on a self catering basis which includes one game drive per day and daily housekeeping service.
