Welcome to Head Start.
Families are systems of Individuals but they influence each other, none of whom can be understood in isolation from the ‘family system’. Imagine a childs mobile. When you move any one piece of a mobile, all the other pieces move too! They do not exist in isolation from one another, and “movement” in any one part of the “system” will affect all the rest of the parts of the system too. Having a baby brings change for a relationship without any doubt. From being a couple, suddenly being a family and with it comes a lot of new challenges for the relationship. Not much later this changes again when you become a parent. Employing someone to look after your child also brings an additional dynamic into your house.

If you want to build a healthy family, it is helpful to be aware of these dynamics. Be aware of the stumbling blocks a relationship can face once a baby arrives and understand the different developmental stages your child goes through and what you can do to give your family the best headstart in life.

To employ a Nanny to look after your children has a big influence on your family system as well. Building a good relationship including effective communication as well as a comprehensive training about child development are the basis for a successful employer-employee relationship.
