Froggies Aftercare is a dedicated non-profit Devon Valley Primary School aftercare facility situated in Stellenbosch run by the community for the community.
We believe every child should be able to spend their afternoons in a safe, loving and stimulating environment and that educational support is critical to reaching their full potential.
What we do
Aftercare in a safe environment with supervision, homework assistance, reading, math and computer tutoring, life skills programmes, sports, recreation and fun.
We interview prospective parents and help them fill out an application form. A small enrolment fee is be payable in advance, whereafter a small monthly fee per child will be levied to help pay salaries, educational aids and cover running costs of the aftercare.
All this helps us provide a safe, nurturing environment with reading, maths and writing assistance, a love of sports and a healthy lifestyle. With persistence and hard work your child can be the master of his or her own destiny.
We rely on volunteers to enrich the programme and lives of these children. If you are interested in becoming involved in any of the following or have other suggestions, please visit our website for more information.
Froggies aftercare is a non-profit organisation which serves the children of the local farming community and Devon Valley Primary, which is located about 15 minutes from the Stellenbosch Town centre.
All funds donated is put towards supporting the children emanating from challenging circumstances, by creating an environment where they get nothing less than the best exposure and stimulation. Individuals, communities and corporates are invited to become involved.
We intend to offer a parent program offering counselling and workshops that facilitates cooperation from the parent community and build bonds between parent and child.
Support from the parents and healthy relationships with responsible and involved adults is key to a child succeeding in life.
