At our practice situated in Centurion, Gauteng we believe in a integrated approach to counselling and mediation, this is based on our belief that each individual is unique and deserve to be treated as such.
We believe in open communication and open mindedness; this allows us to continue learning in our field and broadening our ability to serve the community.
I use a person-centered approach which is a nondirective, empathic approach that empowers and motivates the client in the therapeutic process. I am registered and licensed as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor at the ASCHP.
In 2004 I graduated with a diploma in visual communication from The Open Window Institute for Arts and Digital Sciences; I obtained a BA degree in Psychology, Criminology and Research Methodology at the University of Pretoria in 2014. I had the privilege to work with children on the Autism Spectrum during my undergraduate years.
In 2015 I obtained a BA honours degree in Applied Psychology from the South African College of Applied Psychology. In 2016 I volunteered with Hospivision at Steve Biko hospital as well as doing Pro Bono Mediation work at NGO’s. I opened my practice in October 2016. During 2017 I volunteered my time at a home for survivors of human trafficking. For 2019 I am focused on increasing my therapeutic skills in working with children who have experienced trauma or loss.
This is a private counselling and mediation practice and is not contracted in to any medical aids and is not reimbursable.
